Past ClergyOn account of the westward expansion of the Hounslow Borough with the building of Beavers Farm estate in the early 1950s, it became necessary for the London Diocese to cater for its spiritual and social life by building a new church. Due to the decision of the Diocese not to rebuild the bombed church of St John of Wapping, the War Damage payment of £10,000 was ported to the new site for the Good Shepherd. The pews and choir stalls came from the demolished church of St. Phillip, Bethnal Green, and the Altar came from the temporary church of the Ascension, Preston Road, Wembley. The Foundation Stone was laid by Lady Laura Easthaugh on 17th November 1956. The building was dedicated by the Rt Rev C. Easthaugh MC, MA, Bishop of Kensington, on 1st February 1958. The stained glass windows were dedicated by Rev J B M Fox, Hon. CF, on 28th November 1959. The following parish priests have served at the Good Shepherd: Past Clergy Table
