GOOD SHEPHERD: Summer 2004

Regeneration is now coming to the Parish: the new temporary Medical Centre in Chinchilla Drive opened on 28th June 2004, and the new neighbourhood nursery at the other end of Chinchilla Drive is coming on well and will be open for use in January 2005.

The Focus redevelopment which began ten months late at the beginning of June 2004 has now been stopped in its tracks by Japanese Knotweed, a virulent plant which is almost impossible to kill! We await the Council's decision on what to do, but meanwhile we have the summer holidays with no local facilities inside or out for our young. 

The arrival of the new minibus for the Good Shepherd Community Project is now also over three months late thanks to the Community Fund of the National Lottery becoming the Big Lottery Fund and changing its accounting procedures. We hope to take delivery during August and the dealers will deal with the press and publicity so watch this space!

Every Monday except Bank Holidays: Legal Advice Drop In from 1.30pm to 4.30pm
First Mondays: Hounslow Homes from 2-3.30pm:
Hounslow Racial Equality Council from 2.00pm to 4.00pm (also Third Mondays)
Second Mondays: Police Surgery from 2.-3.30pm.
Ward Councillors by appointment: First Thursdays from 5.15pm
