Youth
and Community Project
The Parish of the Good Shepherd and the Church Army
A working partnership
between the Hounslow Borough Youth Service, The Parish Church of the Good
Shepherd and the Church Army.
A New Post has
been created to expand and develop the current work with children aged
(8-11) in the local area of Beavers Hounslow West.
Aims:
To enable children to develop in every aspect to become fully integrated
and responsible citizens of their own community .
Provision of children's
activities for 8-11 include .
Two secular junior clubs
Links between church and community - through various summer project activities
Church based work - to enable children to explore and experience the Christian
faith and become integrated into the life of the church
Explore and address
the needs and wants of children during out of school hours.
Serve the local
community by helping children to develop through
Play and recreation activities.
Self development and education teaching programmes
Social interaction networking and building relationships.
Spiritual and moral education

Thursday evenings 6.30 to 8.30
For ages 8 -11 years olds
£1 annual membership fee 50p subs per session
Activities: Indoor/outdoor play, art and craft projects, sport
and team games, table games, computer games, group discussions, trips
out. Community projects. Light refreshments provided.

Childrens' Big Breakfast Club
Saturday mornings in the Church Hall from 9-11.00am: breakfast with Videos followed

Sunday Mornings 10 to 11.30
For ages 5 -16 year olds
Free admission to all
Activities: Bible study, Prayer and Worship, Group Discussion,
Games, Art/Craft, Drama, Song, Films, Parties, Outings and Community projects.
Light refreshments provided.

Volunteers: A new team is being set up to run activities across the
age spectrum from Creche, through Sunday School to the Senior Sunday Fellowship
and will be in place for the new term starting on 12th September 2004.
